About the Censor.NET project

“Censor.NET” – Ukrainian news, social and political Internet portal with a popular forum. It was founded by journalist Yurii Butusov in 2004. The portal occupies top positions among the online media in Ukraine.

Yurii Butusov is the editor-in-chief. The media positions itself as an “emotional news” site. The slogan of the site is the editor-in-chief's phrase: “Censor.NET is a popular politics with comments from the electorate.” The materials on the site are published in Ukrainian and Russian, some of them are translated into English, commentators on the forum use both Russian and Ukrainian.

In March 2015, “Censor.NET” was named the best Internet media of the year according to the national program “Person of the Year”. Yurii Butusov, editor-in-chief of the Censor.NET, received the corresponding award at the Palats “Ukraina” at the Person of the Year 2014 award ceremony.

In 2020, “Censor.NET” was recognized as well-known, as evidenced by the decision of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine.
