Rada removes Soboliev from anti-corruption committee chairman post

Ukrainian lawmakers upheld dismissal of Yehor Soboliev from the post of the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Corruption Prevention and Counteraction.

As reported by a parliamentary correspondent for Censor.NET, the relevant bill was supported by 256 MPs.

The draft resolution No. 7368, which was registered earlier today, provides for Soboliev’s dismissal due to alleged underperformance during tenure.

The bill was initiated by 12 members of the anti-corruption committee including six MPs from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction, two People’s Front faction MPs, two members of the Opposition Bloc faction, one Radical Party lawmaker and one people’s deputy representing Vidrodzhennia parliamentary group.
