Seven Ukrainian regions limit trucks traffic over snow storm, - State Roads Agency
The motorways were closed for heavy transport in seven Ukrainian regions early Dec. 20 due to severe weather conditions.

"Seven regions of Ukraine limited the traffic of heavy transport as of 8 a.m. Dec. 20, 2017," Censor.NET reports citing the statement by Ukravtodor – the State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine.

The traffic remains jammed on the M-05 Kyiv-Odesa highway near Zhashkiv and on the border between the Cherkasy and Kyiv regions. The P-03 highway bypassing Kyiv in the northeast is also gridlocked.

The protracted traffic restrictions (introduced at 6 a.m. on Dec. 18, 2017) in Kyiv also made the road agencies of the Rivne, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Odesa and Mykolaiv regions to impose similar limits in order to avoid uncontrolled amassment of trucks along the main highways leading to Kyiv.

The road agencies engaged more than 800 pieces of equipment and over 1000 personnel in urgent cleansing of Ukrainian roads and related rescue operations.
