The large-scale prisoner swap was successfully held in the Donbas on Dec. 27. Ukraine handed over 233 persons requested by the Russian mercenaries in exchange for 73 Ukrainian hostages.
The Verkhovna Rada’ Secretariat made public the names of 58 liberated Ukrainian hostages. The names of the rest released prisoners have not been officially announced so far.
The president’s plane with 73 released Ukrainian prisoners on board landed at the Boryspil airport late on Wednesday where the former prisoners received a warm welcome from their friends and relatives.
