"You have been holding shield protecting entire European civilization," - Poroshenko congratulates Ukrainian fighters on Army Day

Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko congratulated Ukrainian military on the Day of Ukraine's Armed Forces.
"We bow low to every soldier who devotedly serves Ukraine, who is an honor to every citizen of our nation, an honor to the entire Ukrainian nation, and who gives a fitting rebuff to the Russian aggressor," the president wrote on social media early on Dec. 6, Censor.NET reports.
Poroshenko stressed that thanks to the Ukrainian fighters hundreds of the country's towns and tens of thousands of villages have got an opportunity to live a peaceful life: "And not only the Ukrainian ones - you have been firmly holding the shield protecting the entire European civilization."
"Happy Army Day! Glory to Ukrainian fighters! Glory to Ukraine!" the head of state said.
On Dec. 6, Ukraine marks the day of the creation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
