NABU opens criminal proceedings against Ukrainian parliament speaker Parubii
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has brought criminal proceedings against Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andrii Parubiion suspicion of abuse of office and misuse of budget funds.

"We can report that on April 10, 2019, an authorized person of the NABU, executing an order of an investigating judge of the Solomiansky District Court of Kyiv dated April 2, 2019, included information in the single register of pretrial investigations on the signs of a crime envisaged by Part 1 of Article 364 and Part 1, Article 210 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," the press service said.

According to the report, the investigation is being conducted over intentional abuse of power or office in order to obtain an illegal benefit contrary to the interests of the service, as well as due to misuse of budget funds, spending of budget funds or granting of credits from the budget.
