In the near future, the Verkhovna Rada plans to appoint Oksen Lisovy, the current director of the National Academy of Sciences and a volunteer of the 95th Airborne Assault Brigade, as the Minister of Education.

This is reported by Censor.NET.

Currently, the mass media and social networks are actively discussing this appointment. In general, Ukrainians positively evaluate the announced change of the head of the Ministry of Education and expect qualitative changes in the field of education and science.

Censor.NET offers to find out in more detail who Oksen Lisovy is.

"Oksen Lisovy is one of the best leaders I have ever worked with. His appointment as Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine may be the best personnel decision of this government. If this happens, you can be calm about education," the spokesman for Holovnyi said on Facebook. Dmytro Sinchenko of the headquarters of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army.

As zaxid.net reports, 50-year-old Oksen Lisovy was born in the Kyiv region in the family of philosopher and human rights defender Vasyl Lisovy and teacher Vira Lisova-Hrytsenko. Vasyl Lisovy issued an open letter in defense of the Seventies, for which he and his family were deported by the Soviet authorities to Siberia, where Oksen Lisovy was born. His father spent 11 years in exile.

After returning to Ukraine, Oksen Lisovy studied to become a ceramic artist at the Reshetyliv Art School of Folk Crafts, graduated from the Kyiv State Institute of Culture with a specialty in "library and information systems".

He worked as a teacher at the Kyiv-Mohyla Collegium and a fencing coach. In 2010, he headed the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (MAS). He has the degree of candidate of philosophical sciences in philosophical anthropology, in 2015 he received the academic title of associate professor.

In 2012, Oksen Lisovy became a laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of education, in 2021 he received the honorary title of Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine. In September 2020, he initiated the creation of the Science Museum of Ukraine on the territory of VDNG.

After the start of the full-scale invasion of Russia in February 2022, he volunteered to join the Armed Forces, fighting as part of the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. At the same time, he continues to perform the duties of the director of the National Academy of Sciences remotely.

A detailed interview with Lisov was published by "Vikna".

"From the beginning of the war, our 95th brigade was in the East, in the area of the Sloviansk - Kramatorsk - Druzhkivka agglomeration. I was invited as a volunteer to the brigade in May, because that period, to put it mildly and without details, was difficult. Who remembers If you look at the map of the military operations at that time, it looked like a gaping mouth in that area. With it, the Russians wanted to swallow the entire agglomeration at once, surrounding the Donetsk grouping of the Armed Forces. That would be a disaster. Our task was to hold the upper, northern claw of the encirclement, pushing back the invaders from Sloviansk towards Izium. For them, success in this direction was an extremely important task, since this grouping of the Armed Forces was one of the most combat-capable, and the cities have high strategic importance," he noted.

"Now we can talk about the battles that were fought around Dovhenki, Dolyna, Krasnopillia, in the forests of the Sviatohirsk reserve. I had to be at all these "ground zeros". There was a lot of static engineering work. The task was to dig in, dig into the ground and not retreat for any It was difficult to hold these lines due to the dominance of the Russians in artillery. I experienced the fire wall tactics in Dolyna. I already internally said goodbye to life, and now I regret not recording the audio. Because it cannot be compared with anything. In autumn, the situation changed, a slightly different work began. Assaults, clearing of settlements. It is not much easier, but emotionally more pleasant. All the same, moving forward and liberating one's land," Lisovy says about his combat experience.

According to Lisovy, he, as a volunteer, performs all the combat tasks of the unit commander, but does not receive a salary from the Armed Forces, but keeps his main place of work.

"I perform my official duties remotely. Working out all the meetings, documents and decisions in the presence of Starlink and the experience of the organization in pandemic conditions is not an issue at all... My deputies and project managers are professional and value-oriented people. Despite everything, we spent all the planned activities achieved the strategic goals of 2022. The number of students and teachers in our programs is growing. In addition, we opened a children's non-fiction publishing house," he adds.

"I froze at this news: if Oksen Lisovy really takes Shkarlet's place, it will be Zelensky's second personnel decision, after Zaluzhny, for which the gods of history will forgive him a lot of sins. I know Oksen, and I was at his Small Academy of Sciences. Never before, in all the years of independence, has Ukrainian education been in the hands, so perfectly, simply tailored for it by God. It seems too good to be true. But - but? Let's keep our fingers crossed...", she wrote on Facebook writer Oksana Zabuzhko.
