Ministry of Education: Ukrainian defenders’ children to study at state expense

In general, there has been an increase in numbers of socially vulnerable applicants, averaging 15-20%.
This was stated by Deputy Minister for Education and Science of Ukraine Andrii Vitrenko during the telethon, informs Censor.NЕТ.
He noted that 30-40% of students will study at the expense of the state order. He added that "the number of socially supported students increased last year."
"Children of defenders will study at the expense of the state budget. The numbers vary from specialty to specialty, but on average 15-20% of children are privileged," Vitrenko said.
He also emphasized that the agency has submitted proposals to increase the state order for IT specialties and those professions that will be needed for the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. These include engineers, physicists, chemists, builders, architects and philologists.
