As result of aggression of Russian Federation, 70 kindergartens were destroyed and over 1,000 kindergartens were damaged. 846 institutions are under occupation, - Ministry of Education

"Today, the network of preschool education institutions is suffering significantly. As of May 11, 2023, 70 preschool institutions out of almost 15,000 that functioned before the war were destroyed and 1,031 were damaged.
It is also worth considering that 846 institutions are located in the occupied territories, and 131 remain shelters for internally displaced persons; 677 points of inviolability function in preschool education institutions," the message reads.
According to the operational information of the education departments of the regional military administrations, as of May 1, 2023, the educational process is carried out by 10,367 preschool education institutions (over 750,000 children are enrolled in preschool education), of which:
- 6,003 ZDOs (437,901 pupils) provide educational services on a face-to-face basis;
- by distance form – 2,851 institutions (182,263 pupils);
- by mixed – 1,513 institutions (131,130 pupils).
Among them, 6,602 educational institutions provide educational services to internally displaced students (28,664 pupils).
