Slovenia recognizes Holodomor as genocide of Ukrainian people

Slovenian parliament adopts a declaration proclaiming Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide of Ukrainian people.
This was announced by the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, informs Censor.NЕТ with reference to "Rada" Telegram channel.
"I am grateful to the Slovenian parliamentarians for adopting a declaration recognizing the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people and honoring the memory of the victims of this terrible crime," he said in a statement.
Stefanchuk added that humanity should know and remember this horror so that it does not happen again in the future.
The Holodomor of 1932-1933 was also recognized as genocide of the Ukrainian people by the parliaments of France, Iceland, Belgium, Bulgaria, and 19 other countries, as well as the European Parliament.
