The "Russian Volunteer Corps" and the Legion "Freedom of Russia" continue their struggle on the territory of the Russian Federation and recruit new supporters.

Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, stated this on the air of the telethon, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.

"We can definitely state the fact that resistance to Russia is gaining momentum. And if we talk about the latest events in the Belgorod Region, then yes, a certain part of the representatives of the RVC and the Legion remain on the territory of the Russian Federation and, in fact, continue the struggle and the recruitment of new supporters. And therefore the geography is expanding, and the scale is increasing," Yusov noted.

He added that the recent events in the Belgorod region have become the most massive armed resistance to the regime of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in recent times inside Russia itself, and this is important.

"It is very good that on the territory of the Russian Federation there are people who are ready to fight for the future of their own communities, people, for their own future and to fight against, obviously, a usurper and a dictator who not only occupied a part of the Ukrainian territory, which will definitely be liberated, but he also carried out an internal occupation of the Russian Federation itself," said the representative of the Defense Intelligence.

He emphasized that more and more residents of the Russian Federation understand the futility of further coexistence under the leadership of Putin.

As a reminder, on 22 May, members of the Russian Volunteer Corps conducted a new raid in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation. They destroyed a border checkpoint in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation.

Telegram channels reported explosions in the region. At a meeting with the governor, the head of the border town of Grayvoron reported "disturbing news" from the military unit.

A video was also posted online showing a tank entering the territory of the Grayvoron checkpoint in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation.

Subsequently, the Legion of Freedom of Russia and the RVC announced the liberation of Kozinka in the Belgorod region. And the Russian authorities began evacuating a nuclear munitions storage facility located in the region.

On 23 May, it became known that members of the Legion of Freedom of Russia and the RVC had begun construction of fortifications at the Graivoron checkpoint in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation.

On the same day, the Russian Ministry of Defence stated that it had allegedly defeated the RVC and the Freedom of Russia Legion in the Belgorod region, killing more than 70 people, but the RVC and the Freedom of Russia Legion denied this information.
