Ukraine has passed the first revision of the IMF’s four-year program and will receive $900 million in the second tranche.

This was announced by the head of the IMF mission, Gavin Gray, Censor.NET reports with reference to EPravda.

"I am pleased to announce that representatives of the IMF and the Ukrainian authorities have reached a staff-level agreement on the first review of the EFF program. This agreement still needs to be approved by the IMF board, and the corresponding review will take place in the coming weeks," Gray said.

He noted that Ukraine has achieved a significant result in fulfilling the requirements of the program and has complied with all the main points stipulated by the end of May 2023.

A successful revision of the program will allow Ukraine to attract the second tranche of the IMF loan in the amount of 900 million dollars. The total volume of the IMF program is 15.6 billion dollars, of which Ukraine has already attracted 2.7 billion dollars in the form of the first tranche.

It will be recalled that on March 31, the International Monetary Fund approved a four-year Extended Financing Program (EFF) for Ukraine worth $15.6 billion. It is part of a large package of support from the G7 countries in the amount of 115 billion dollars during the duration of the program.

The allocation of each subsequent tranche under the terms of the program requires a review by the IMF mission.
