According to the procedural guidance of the Desniansky district prosecutor’s office of the city of Kyiv, four persons detained as part of the investigation of the tragic consequences due to the denial of citizens to the shelter were notified of suspicion.

As Censor.NET informs, the General Prosecutor's Office reports this.

"The first deputy of the Desnyanska RDA, the director of the medical facility, and his deputy were charged with official negligence that caused serious consequences (Part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), and the security guard - leaving him in danger, which led to death (Part 3 of Article 135 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine )", the message reads.

The question of choosing precautionary measures for the suspect is being resolved.

Earlier, as part of the investigation, prosecutors, together with the police, conducted searches in two Departments of the KCMA, the premises of the Desniansky RMA and a medical facility, where citizens were not given access to shelter during the air raid.

As reported, on the night of June 1, 2023, three people, including a 9-year-old child, died in the capital during a rocket attack by the Russian invaders. Residents tried to get to the shelter of the polyclinic in the Desniansky district, but the door was closed.

One of the local residents said that he woke up the guard in the shelter after the explosion - according to him, he had signs of intoxication.

The Kyiv police have started criminal proceedings on the fact that access to the shelter was closed during the air raid alert. The prosecutor's office said that investigations are ongoing at the polyclinic, where the shelter was not opened. And the guard of the polyclinic was taken to be examined for possible intoxication.

Subsequently, the Kyiv authorities announced that shelters in the capital would be permanently open.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said that specific people will be responsible for the fact that a shelter was closed in Kyiv during an air raid and residents of the city were killed and injured near it.

On the evening of June 1, the first deputy of the Desniansky RMA, the director of the medical institution, and his deputy, as well as the guard of the polyclinic were detained.
