The upper house of the Swiss parliament has approved an amendment that will allow the re-export of weapons to Ukraine.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to European Pravda.
"Countries that buy Swiss military equipment should be allowed to re-export it to countries involved in armed conflicts under certain conditions," the press service of the Swiss parliament said.
"Twenty-two MPs voted in favour, 17 voted against, and four abstained.
According to the amendment, countries buying Swiss weapons will still have to sign a declaration banning re-exports, but its term may be limited to 5 years. Re-exports will be possible only to destination countries that do not violate human rights and do not use weapons against civilians.
