Russian dictator Vladimir Putin signed a law that raises the upper limit of the conscription age from 27 to 30. He also signed a law that prohibits travel abroad after receiving a summons.

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to the Russian propaganda publication Kommersant.

According to the new law, which will enter into force on January 1, 2024, citizens aged 18 to 30 will be subject to conscription for military service. Previously, the upper limit of conscription was 27 years.

The same law establishes the possibility of concluding contracts with conscripts for a term of at least one year (but not earlier than one month before the end of the term of service).

People who will turn 27 by the end of this year are not eligible for the draft extension.

In addition, according to Russian media, today Putin signed a law that introduces a ban on travel abroad for a citizen from the day the summons is served on him, in particular at the place of work or study.
