It is unlikely that war in Israel will affect US assistance to Ukraine, - Venislavskyi
This was stated by the deputy from the "Servant of the People" and the representative of the President of Ukraine in the Verkhovna Rada Fedir Venislavskyi on Radio Liberty, Censor.NET reports
"The war in Israel will undoubtedly play a role, but there is a slightly different level of legal interaction. Because there is a treaty on special military cooperation between the United States and Israel... There is no need to go through all the bureaucratic procedures that the President of the United States, United States administration goes through when allocating aid to Ukraine. Everything is much easier there. There are clear legal obligations that the United States cannot fail to fulfill. Therefore, I do not think that fulfillment of their obligations to Israel will in any way significantly affect the situation in Ukraine," Venislavskyi said.
It is noted that Israel has the status of the main ally of the United States outside of NATO. Currently, a total of 18 countries have this status.
At the same time, US Army Secretary Kristin Wormuth stated that The United States Congress needs to approve additional funding so that the United States can simultaneously provide assistance to both Ukraine and Israel.
