Since 24 February 2022, more than 165,500 people have received first aid training from Ukrainian Red Cross trainers and instructors across Ukraine.

This was reported on Facebook by the Red Cross of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.

As noted, there are currently three certified 6-, 12- and 48-hour training programmes, which consist of separate modules and contain 60% of the time for practical training in first aid:

  • cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
  • stopping bleeding;
  • actions in case of burns and wounds, etc.

"In addition, our trainers are actively training children aged 5 and over, and have their own methodology and training materials.

In particular, our trainers are developing a training methodology for people with disabilities, because everyone should be able to help themselves and others...

Starting in 2023, our trainers will also teach first aid skills to animals," the Ukrainian Red Cross said.
