SBI convicted the deputy of the Rivne Regional Council and the head of the forest industry Sukhovich of illegal enrichment for millions of dollars. PHOTOS

Until February 2023, the defendant served as the head of the Rivne Regional Forestry and Hunting Department. Then he took one of the leading positions in the Polissia Forest Office of the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine", created on its basis.
While working in the executive branch and local government, he managed to illegally enrich himself with millions of dollars.
Within the framework of the criminal proceedings, searches were conducted, including at the PD's residence and workplace, as well as at the home and workplace of his family members. During the investigative actions, more than USD 4 million in cash in various currencies alone was found and seized.
The law enforcement officers also found three luxury cars - AUDI Q8, Mercedes Benz GLE 350E, BMW X5, jewellery and expensive watches, including an elite brand of Patek Philippe. Gold coins, gold bars, 2 pistols, a Kalashnikov assault rifle with 16 magazines with ammunition were found.
In addition, the PD owned four land plots in Rivne, where he built cottages. The plots were registered in the names of nominees controlled by the "elected official".
The searches are currently ongoing. A notification of suspicion is being prepared for PD under the article on illegal enrichment (Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
A letter was also sent to the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption to monitor the lifestyle of the defendant and his family.
