Ukraine fines PornHub almost $6000 for tax evasion - Hetmantsev
This was announced by the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev, Censor.NET reports.
"Unfortunately, not all taxpayers operating adult services are equally responsible for taxation. The company that operates the Instagram site permanently deleted Pornhub's account due to repeated violations of the community's principles, evades registration, and was fined $5,543," Hetmantsev said.
He reminded that the funds from the "Google tax" are used to finance the needs of the army, and Ukraine is ranked 14th among other countries by PornHub's rating of electronic services viewed by consumers of this site.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy noted that the well-known Onlyfans service has paid more than $944.1 thousand to the state budget of Ukraine since the beginning of 2023.
