If women voluntarily want to join the ranks of AFU, they can do it on their own, currently they are not subject to mobilization, - spokesman of Ground Forces, Fitio
The spokesman of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Volodymyr Fitio, said this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
"You know, this is a separate story (regarding the mobilization of women - ed.). The Russians also tried to shake it up at a frantic pace - that we allegedly take women and immediately mobilize them. In fact, everything is much simpler. Women doctors have always been conscripted," he noted Fito.
He noted that women with a medical education always knew after graduating from university that they were conscripted and had to register for military service at their Territorial center of procurement and social support.
"Yes, of course, there was a period when the system of military registration was destroyed, everyone knows that well. And some, perhaps, did not do this - that is, they did not enter the military registration," added Fityo.
However, now, according to him, there are no such problems at all, because our women doctors simply call their TCPSS, arrange when they can come, undergo a medical examination, provide the necessary list of documents, register for the military, and continue to work their work
"There was no agitation, we don't mobilize women into the army. As practice shows, Russian propaganda here lost absolutely and completely. But there was, of course, social tension, there were many fakes, many "throw-ins," noted Fitio.
He emphasized that it is necessary to use only official sources of information so that there are no doubts. After all, "if some news causes a sharp reaction in you, you must understand that there is some kind of manipulation somewhere."
"Whoever wants to join the Armed Forces among women can do it independently, you can also apply for mobilization if the profession is in demand.
We have women gunners in the army, there are women pilots in the army aviation. That is, the profession for women in the Defense Forces is wide, but it is only at their own will," Fitio explained.
