First working meeting of coalition on demining of Ukraine was held in Lithuania

The meeting was attended by representatives of 25 countries, six of whom joined via video. Representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are also reported to have participated.
Vaidotas Urbelis, Director of the Defense Policy Department of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense, noted that this was the first working meeting of the coalition "to clarify Ukraine's needs in the field of mine action and the specific contribution of each of the coalition's partner countries."
"This demonstrates the unity of the partner states not only in responding to immediate needs but also in supporting the long-term development of Ukraine's mine action capabilities," he added.
As you know, the demining coalition includes elements of both humanitarian demining of the liberated occupied territories and combat demining on the line of contact with Russian troops.
