Bohdan "Pavarotti" Solomka, a former soloist of the Rivne Regional Philharmonic, from Sarny, was killed in the war against Russia. The man was a paramedic in the ranks of the Right Sector.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported on the Facebook page of the Sarny City Council.

Bohdan Solomka studied at the Russian State University for the Arts at the Department of Choral Conducting. He was a soloist at the Rivne Philharmonic, and then an artist at a musical theater in Kyiv.

The 31-year-old joined the army with his father and brother at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The older soldier served as a paramedic in the ranks of the Right Sector, with the call sign "Pavarotti".

He died on 20 January 2024 while performing a combat mission in Zaporizhzhia region. His brother was next to him, who suffered severe concussion but evacuated Bohdan's body from the battlefield.

The funeral service will take place on Thursday, 25 January:

11:00 - mourning service and farewell at the Blahodat (Grace -ed. note) Church, 1 Shyroka St;

13:00 - Farewell on the central square in Sarny;

14:00 - burial on the Alley of Heroes, at the cemetery on Sharpak Street.
