Syrskyi on dismissal of Zaluzhnyi: President had good reasons for replacing head of AFU
This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi in an interview with Ukrinform, Censor.NET informs.
"The military has one duty - we do not discuss orders, we carry them out. So if the President of the country, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, had reasons for such a replacement, especially during the active phase of the war, it means that these reasons are valid." , - he noted.
Syrsky noted that he had worked with Valerii Zaluzhnyy since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion and even earlier.
"I can say that all our knowledge and experience, which was already acquired during a full-scale war in battles with overwhelming enemy forces, will be aimed at increasing the effectiveness of our actions and maximum damage to the enemy's strike groups," the head of the army said.
Syrskyi noted that the military leadership is currently working on the algorithms of the military administration bodies at all levels. It is about detailed, careful planning of actions taking into account the needs of the front.
He confirmed that the composition of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military bodies was updated by combat officers with practical experience.
"Our staffs must know all, without exception, the needs of the front and master the situation in each of its areas. In this, the qualifications of the officers belonging to the military administration come to the fore," Sirskyi added.
It will be recalled that on March 7, the President approved the candidacy of the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valerii Zaluzhny for the post of Extraordinary Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Great Britain.
