Polish farmers block three checkpoints on border with Ukraine, 1400 trucks are waiting in line - State Border Guard Service
This was reported by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, Andriy Demchenko, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
"The blocking of three directions continues - Rava-Ruska, Yahodyn and Uhryniv. And in fact, in all three of these areas, Polish farmers do not allow trucks to pass in the direction of Poland at all, and several trucks are allowed to pass in the direction of Ukraine per hour," Demchenko said.
According to him, the "Yahodyn" checkpoint is the largest infrastructure area on the border with Poland for the passage of trucks. In particular, it can pass 1200-1400 trucks per day. In contrast, only 70 trucks crossed into Ukraine over the past day.
Demchenko noted that the queue at these three destinations totalled more than 400 trucks.
The SBGS noted that there are also queues at previously unblocked routes. This is especially true at the "Krakivets" and "Shehyni" checkpoints. About 550 trucks are waiting at the first checkpoint as of this morning, and about 450 opposite "Shehyni".
Polish farmers do not block the way for other categories of transport, except for freight, Demchenko added.
