SSU: Russian agent, who launched missile attack on cafe in Kramatorsk, sentenced to life imprisonment
This was reported by Censor.NET citing the press service of SSU.
Then the SSU counterintelligence detained the offender "in hot pursuit". It turned out to be a local resident who had been recruited by Russian military intelligence before the start of Russia's full-scale invasion.
According to the investigation, on 27 June last year, he received a hostile task to find out whether the aforementioned cafe was open and to record the presence of visitors there. To fulfil this instruction, the agent covertly filmed the establishment and sent the footage to his Russian supervisor.
After receiving intelligence information, the occupiers carried out a targeted missile attack on a cafe where people were staying.
The shelling killed 13 local residents, including 3 children. Another 64 people sustained injuries of varying severity.
The investigation revealed that the enemy adjuster was a resident of Kramatorsk, an employee of a local gas transport company.
During his communication with others, he repeatedly expressed his pro-Kremlin views and thus came to the attention of the Russian special services.
Based on the SSU materials, the court found him guilty under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
