With each passing month, fewer and fewer viewers watch the only news marathon, and even fewer trust it

This was stated by the executive director of the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology Anton Hrushetskyi, Censor.NET reports citing "UP".

"After the invasion began, almost 80% of Ukrainians trusted the telethon. It was May 2022. According to the latest survey conducted in the first half of February 2024, the number was about 36%. For the first time in two years, the number of those who distrusted the event has increased to 47%. That is, we are seeing a shift from overwhelming trust to distrust," says UP.

According to him, this is due to the general trend of growing distrust in various state institutions.

"In general, the situation in society is difficult. It is reflected, among other things, in the growing criticism of the authorities. Accordingly, it also affects things that are associated with the government. The marathon is associated with it, so it attracts a lot of criticism," adds the KIIS executive director.
