Suspension of military exemption, which the government has implemented, poses a real threat to the operation of strategically important enterprises and could cause numerous disruptions in their work. Therefore, the mechanism for retaining important employees should be restored as soon as possible.

According to Censor.NET, this was stated by Olena Kolesnikova, chairman of the industry council of the Federation of Metallurgists of Ukraine.

"We used to say that the industry was short of people and asked for the opportunity to increase the number of exempted workers. But when it was stopped, it was actually a death for the companies! The TCR knows exactly when people's military exemptions run out, and they come in and start picking them up the same day. And we have no way to extend the exemption. Is this a problem? It is a very big problem for us!" explained Kolesnikova.

She noted that a lot of companies that are not critical but managed to get this status have appeared, and it is really necessary to put things in order.

"But to stop large industrial enterprises that have confirmed their criticality and continue to operate, which provide great assistance not only to the budget but also to our army - I don't even know what to call it. I don't have normal words, to be honest. There is no logic in this," Kolesnikova said.

Earlier, Ukrainian business associations called on the president to restore exemptions at the ministerial level as soon as possible, as, according to available data, local administrations were primarily speculating in determining which companies were critical. Later, the government issued a protocol decision allowing the re-exempting employees who had this status before May 31. Currently, companies are waiting for the relevant regulations to be issued to finally launch the exemption process.
