У Кремлі заявили, що Санду не є президенткою Молдови

The Kremlin will not recognize Maia Sandu as president of Moldova after the elections.

According to Censor.NET, citing the Russian media, Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this.

"As for Ms. Sandu, you know that she is not, as far as we understand, the president of her country, because in the country itself, the majority of the population did not vote for her. And we are talking about a very, very divided society," he said.

The spokesman for the Russian dictator said that Russia can "objectively judge these elections" on the example of Moldovan citizens who voted from Russia.

According to Peskov, Moldovan citizens in Russia "were not given the opportunity to use their vote," so the election results "cannot be considered clean."

Moldova opened only two polling stations in Russia, both in Moscow. At each of them, 4999 voters out of 5,000 voters cast their ballots.

On November 3, Moldova held a second round of presidential elections. Incumbent President Maia Sandu won with 55.33% of the vote. Her opponent, Stoianoglo, was supported by 44.67% of voters.

Sandu's victory was in fact secured by the support of Moldovan citizens living abroad.
