There will be no decisions on Ukraine without Ukraine - Metsola
European leaders adhere to the position that it is impossible to make any decisions on the settlement of the Russian war against Ukraine without Ukraine itself.
This was stated to journalists by the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola before the summit of the European Political Community in Budapest on Thursday, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
"President Zelensky and President-elect Trump have been in touch. They talked in September, and they talked yesterday. I promised President Zelensky a few weeks ago when we met in Brussels that we will continue to insist that no decision on Ukraine should be made without Ukraine," Metsola commented on the issue of Ukraine and Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election.
Metsola pointed out that European leaders are "fully committed to this approach."
"The 1000th day of the war is already approaching. It will be a difficult winter, but if we abandon Ukraine, what will be our message? Not only to the world, but especially to Putin," she added.
