51 out of 87 "Shaheds" destroyed, 30 more lost locally - Air Force
On the night of 19 November 2024, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 87 Shahed-type attack UAVs and unidentified drones.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press centre of the Air Force Command.
As noted, the air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
How many drones were shot down by our air defence?
According to the Air Force, as of 09.00, 51 enemy UAVs were confirmed to have been shot down in Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv regions.
"As a result of active countermeasures, 30 enemy UAVs were lost in different regions. One UAV is in the airspace of Ukraine, combat operations are ongoing!" the statement said.
Earlier, Censor.NET reported that on the night of 19 November, the Kyiv region was attacked by Russian drones. There were also reports of a drone attack in Cherkasy region.
