Ukraine should strengthen mobilization. Problems at front are due to lack of human resources, not weapons, - Sullivan
Ukraine needs to strengthen mobilization to improve the situation on the frontline. However, no single weapons system is decisive in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
This was stated by US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan in an interview with PBS News, Censor.NET reports.
Sullivan answered the question whether it would have had a greater effect if Ukraine had received a new type of weapon (ed. - tanks, missiles, aircraft) earlier.
We gave them tanks, F-16s, HIMARS, and Patriots. Did we see a significant difference on the battlefield? We believe that no single weapon system is decisive in this battle. It's about human resources, and Ukraine, in our view, needs to do more to strengthen its lines in terms of the number of forces it has on the front line," the Biden adviser said.
According to him, the key factors are human resources, ammunition, and other elements of national strength, including morale and industrial base.
"But it's not about what happened before. Today, Ukraine is in a more difficult position on the battlefield, which shows that there is no direct line between these weapons systems and what is happening on the battlefield.
Where is the most direct connection between Ukrainian effectiveness and inputs? It is mobilization and human resources," Sullivan added.
