Starmer to Putin: "Stop war, get out of Ukraine"
On the 1000th day of the full-scale invasion, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer called on Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to end the war and withdraw his troops from Ukraine.
He said this to journalists during the G20 summit in Brazil, Censor.NET reports citing The Guardian.
Starmer noted that Putin's "irresponsible rhetoric" about nuclear weapons "will not stop our support for Ukraine."
"We are now on the 1000th day of the conflict, 1000 days of Russian aggression, 1000 days of victims in Ukraine. We have been with Ukraine from the very beginning. I have doubled down on my clear message that we must provide Ukraine with everything it needs to win this war against Putin," the British prime minister emphasized.
"On the 1000th day of Russia's illegal war in Ukraine, I speak again: Stop the war, get out of Ukraine," Starmer said in a direct address to the Russian dictator.
