Moldova’s existing radars cannot detect drones - Defense Minister Nosatîi
Moldovan Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatîi said that the country's existing radars cannot detect drones that violate airspace.
This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to Realitatea.
According to him, the radars purchased by the authorities cannot recognize UAVs flying over the airspace of Moldova in time.
"I just want to point out that the equipment does not really allow radar to detect drones. They also have a rather small reflective surface. These drones have a flight range of 1000-1300 km, so they can cross the territory of Ukraine from the launch site," Nosaty said, adding that opportunities for purchasing new systems should be found.
