Trump will not support unfavorable for Ukraine agreement on ending war, - British Foreign Secretary Lammy
President-elect Donald Trump will not agree to end the war in Ukraine on terms unfavorable to Kyiv.
British Foreign Secretary David Lammy said this in an interview with the New Statesman, Censor.NET reports.
The British Foreign Secretary, answering a question about Trump's future policy on the war in Ukraine, referred to conversations with friends in the US Republican Party who hold hawkish views.
Donald Trump has a certain continuity with this "peace through strength" position. What I know for sure about Donald Trump is that he doesn't like losers and doesn't want to lose, he wants to get the right deal for the American people," the British Foreign Secretary said.
According to Lammy, the US president-elect knows that the "right" deal for the American people is peace in Europe.
"This means a lasting peace, not that Russia will achieve its goals and return for new territories in the coming years," Lammy added.
As a reminder, the day before, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that his team would "establish processes " with the team of the newly elected President of the United States Donald Trump.
