Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom Valerii Zaluzhnyi believes that the current hostilities in Ukraine can be considered the beginning of World War III, as our country is at war not only with Russia but also with the Kremlin's autocratic allies.
He said this during a speech at the UP-100 award ceremony, Censor.NET reports.
I believe that in 2024 we can absolutely assume that World War III has broken out. Because in 2024, Ukraine is no longer facing only Russia. Ukraine is facing soldiers from North Korea," Zaluzhnyi said.
The former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized that civilians are being killed by Iranian "shaheds" in Ukraine "quite openly, without any hesitation", North Korean-made missiles are flying, Chinese shells are being detonated, and Chinese parts are used in Russian missiles.
According to Zaluzhnyi, these factors give reason to say that a world war has begun and "the world must prepare for it."
"What has been expected for so long has already begun. But I want to say that God Himself gives a chance, not only to Ukraine but to the whole world, to have time to draw the right conclusions now. It is still possible to stop it here, on the territory of Ukraine. But for some reason our partners do not want to understand this. Obviously, Ukraine already has too many enemies.
Ukraine will survive through technology, but it is not clear whether it can win this battle alone. So I believe that the world war has begun," he summarized.
