Ground Forces Command spoke about four stages of basic training for mobilized soldiers
The structure of the basic general military training course for mobilized persons includes four main stages of training.
This was reported by the head of the training department of the training centers of the Land Forces Command Yurii Diachenko during a press conference in Ukrinform on the topic: "Basic military training", Censor.NET reports.
"The structure of the course includes four main stages of training. At the first stage, the safety measures for handling weapons are explained, the legal basis for military service and the duties of a soldier are studied. During the individual training course, the main subjects are studied, skills in related subjects are acquired, in-depth knowledge of military military history is provided, and a conscious attitude to the protection of the territorial integrity of Ukraine is formed," Diachenko said.
According to him, at the third stage, the recruit undergoes a course of studying actions as part of a unit. It is about improving practical skills and abilities, developing endurance, assessing the ability of servicemen to overcome difficulties, great physical and psychological stress associated with performing tasks in field conditions as close to combat as possible.
After that, at the fourth stage, a complex tactical task, the so-called "field exercise," is conducted for three days, during which the level of training and the ability of the serviceman to act independently on the battlefield without the intervention of an instructor is determined.
Informing about the changes in training, Diachenko noted that previously the training of a serviceman was carried out for 10 hours a day, and now it has been reduced to eight hours. At the same time, two more hours were provided for independent training.
Diachenko also said that the training program includes the subject of "Special Training," where the means of countering enemy unmanned aerial systems are studied at the user level. The training includes the Kropyva software, guidelines for providing medical care, and the study of collective weapons (machine guns of various modifications - Ed.) and firing from them.
According to the new program of basic military training, new subjects have been introduced, and the number of exercises and firing has been increased.
"I would also like to emphasize the increase in the practical component of fire training. Under the updated program, 10 additional professional firings have been introduced. There were 29 of them before, now there are 39. The amount of ammunition for the assault rifle has been increased from 551 rounds to 866 rounds," Diachenko said.
According to him, much attention is paid to pre-medical training. Thus, the course lasts 16 hours, of which 4 hours are theory and 12 hours are practical classes.
During the training, recruits learn how to use tourniquets, bandages, restore breathing, respond quickly to injuries in combat conditions, and acquire skills in evacuating and transporting victims.
During the training, each soldier is provided with an individual first aid kit, a full set of medical supplies for training exercises. The use of the first aid kits allows to practice skills as close to combat conditions as possible, emphasized the representative of the Ground Forces Command.
According to the participants of the event, the practical exercises are held in the format of scenario-based training that simulates real combat situations. The emphasis is on the speed and accuracy of assistance under stress.
During the exercises, great attention is paid to psychological training, which includes: overcoming obstacle courses, fear of heavy armored vehicles; strengthening the psyche in conditions of constant fire and UAV strikes; creating the most difficult and close to combat conditions for the military to acquire the skills to control their own psychological reactions. In addition, the military is taught how to provide psychological assistance and self-help.
Diachenko also emphasized that adaptation and additional training of servicemen for combat operations is carried out directly in military units after their training in training centers in order to increase combat stability, to coordinate trained specialists in small groups (units) to conduct tactical operations.
