Ruscists shot 5 captured AFU soldiers in Donetsk region
The Russian military has committed another war crime by shooting 5 captured Ukrainian soldiers in Donetsk region.
This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, Censor.NET informs.
"In November 2024, the Russian invaders stormed the positions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces near the village of Petrivka, Pokrovsk district. As a result of the attack, five Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen were forced to retreat and hide in a private house.
After surrounding the house, the Russian military took the Ukrainian defenders prisoner, forcing them to leave the shelter unarmed and lie on the ground. In violation of international humanitarian law, the occupiers shot the Ukrainian POWs with automatic weapons," the statement said.
All elements of the crime and the persons involved in its commission are currently being established.
