Germany will supply Ukraine with 150-200 MRAP armored vehicles by end of 2024, - Freuding
By the end of 2024, Germany will supply about 150-200 MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) armored vehicles with enhanced mine protection to Ukraine.
This was stated by the chief coordinator of German military assistance in Ukraine, chief of the planning staff at the German Ministry of Defense, Christian Freuding, Censor.NET reports citing Espresso.
According to him, the company that manufactures these vehicles receives spare parts from many countries, and some parts are still being waited for.
"As far as I can see, by the end of the year we will have delivered about 150-200 out of 400. But I am not very happy with this myself. But we have done everything to speed up the process. I believe that these are realistic figures for now," said a representative of the German Defense Ministry.
Earlier, Bild accused the German Defense Ministry of disrupting the supply of MRAP armored vehicles to Ukraine.
Currently, according to the publication, Germany has handed over 26 MRAPs to Ukraine, or 6.5% of the total order.
