Кулеба про сигнали Зеленського Трампу

Former Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that the words of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy about the possibility of Ukraine joining NATO without the occupied territories were a signal to US President-elect Donald Trump.

The former diplomat said this in a commentary to Politico, Censor.NET reports.

According to the former official, Kyiv is trying not to anger Trump, who has repeatedly stated that he intends to quickly end the Russian-Ukrainian war. That is why, according to Kuleba, Zelensky consistently emphasizes the importance of diplomatic solutions.

"Listen to his (Zelenskyy's - ed.) recent interviews, in which he says that 'we must seek diplomatic solutions,' 'we must return Crimea diplomatically,' 'we are not strong enough to restore the 1991 borders. These are all messages for Trump," Kuleba said.

The former minister also says that Trump will act quickly to end the war, but in fact, neither Zelenskyy nor Russian dictator Putin is interested in this, as they believe that this will be achieved at the expense of their concessions.

According to Kuleba, Putin believes in his victory and will demand not only territorial concessions and Ukraine's rejection of NATO membership but also a reduction of the Ukrainian army, which "will undermine the whole idea of security guarantees."

Earlier, in an interview with Sky News, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he was ready to consider ending the "hot phase of the war" if the territories of Ukraine under its control were taken "under the NATO umbrella."
