They can fly up to 1,800 km: Fedorov on Ukraine's strike UAVs

Ukraine has attack drones that can fly 1,800 kilometres.

This was stated in an interview with Reuters by Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, Censor.NET reports.

He said that Ukraine, like Russia, uses decoy drones. Sometimes they launch more attack drones in one night than Russia.

According to Fedorov, Ukraine has drones capable of flying 1,800 km.

The deputy prime minister confirmed that Ukraine is working on drones to intercept "shaheds" used by Russia for night attacks on Ukrainian cities.

"There is some testing by certain companies producing, but this is still in the research and development phase. There are certain results," he said.

Fedorov continued, Ukraine has signed a contract for the purchase of 1.6 million UAVs this year, of which 1.3 million have already been delivered, including FPV drones.

The head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation said that 10 companies are constantly competing in public procurement to offer AI products.

"I think next year will significantly increase the percentage of autonomous drones with targeting. We might see the first real drone swarm uses, though not on a massive scale. The first steps will happen," he summed up
