MFA on possible supply of THAAD to Ukraine: we discuss different types of systems that can be handed over
Ukraine is discussing with its allies the supply of various air defense systems, including the THAAD system, which can intercept medium-range ballistic missiles.
This was stated during a press conference by the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhii Tykhyi, RBC-Ukraine reports, Censor.NET informs.
The spokesman was asked to comment on the THAAD negotiations.
"There are no taboo topics in communication with partners regarding weapons and types of systems that can be handed over to Ukraine. Therefore, we are discussing different types of these systems that can be handed over," the Foreign Ministry spokesman replied.
Earlier, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha called on partners to strengthen Ukraine's air defense with systems capable of shooting down medium-range Oreshnik ballistic missiles.
