Enemy concentrates reserves at Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, Kupiansk and Vremivka directions - Khortytsia OSGT
The Kurakhov direction is important for the Russian occupiers to level the front line, as it will allow them to regroup and withdraw some units for reconstruction.
According to Censor.NET, Nazar Voloshyn, a spokesman for the Khortytsia OSGT, said this during a telethon.
He said that the situation in the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia OSTG remains tense but under control.
"In our area of responsibility, 150 combat engagements with the enemy took place over the last day. The enemy attacked the Pokrovsk, Kurakhove and Vremivka directions in our area of responsibility the most," said Voloshyn.
There were 48 enemy attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, 35 in the Kurakhove direction and 21 in the Vremivka direction. Moreover, the enemy conducted 5 air strikes in our area of responsibility over the last day, dropping 8 guided and aerial bombs, fired over 3,200 times at localities from various types of weapons and 250 times with kamikaze drones," he emphasized.
Over the last day, 11 attacks took place, the enemy fired over 300 times at Ukrainian positions and populated areas using various types of weapons.
Voloshyn added that the enemy is trying to conduct active offensive actions, but the Defense Forces are holding back the offensive, inflicting considerable losses in both manpower and equipment.
The Kurakhove direction is important for the enemy to level the front line. This will allow him to regroup, withdraw some units for recuperation, and then, having accumulated resources, conduct further offensive actions.
The Vremivka area in northwestern Donetsk region is also a priority for the enemy, as it is one of the elements of the Kurakhove-Pokrov offensive. The day before yesterday, the enemy was more active there, there were 37 enemy attacks. However, the Defense Forces have improved their tactical position by recapturing the village of Novyi Komar.
According to the spokesperson of the Khortytsia OSGT, more than 45,000 occupants were killed along the frontline, including more than 35,000 in the eastern sector.
"The enemy occasionally pulls up reserves, including heavy armored vehicles and personnel to support its attacks. He is trying to put pressure on the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The concentration of reserves is observed on the Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, Kupiansk, and Vremivka directions. It is likely that the Russian military command will be forced to use a significant part of its strategic reserves, which have been accumulated over the year to seize territory in these areas," said the spokesman.
"At the Pokrovske direction, formations of two Russian combined arms armies are concentrated against us. These are the 2nd and 41st armies of the "center" group of troops. In the Kramatorsk direction, near Chasiv Yar, we are facing the 98th Airborne Division, which has been defeated twice by our defenders and has been repeatedly reinforced. In the Pokrovsk direction, one of our brigades is holding back the assaults of four motorized rifle brigades of the Russian army, one of which is the 74th motorized rifle brigade.
The enemy is trying to move its personnel and equipment between areas in eastern Ukraine. In particular, at the Pokrovske, Kurakhove, Vremivka and Toretsk directions. Where it suffers a significant defeat, it tries to compensate for the lost forces and means from other areas," Voloshyn added.
