Situation in frontline remains complicated, 191 combat engagements registered over last day - General Staff
The enemy, using its superiority in manpower and equipment, continuously attacks our positions. Ukrainian defenders are steadfastly holding back the onslaught, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. In total, 191 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
According to Censor.NET, this is stated in the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Shelling of Ukraine
According to the updated information, yesterday the enemy launched one missile attack on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements using two missiles, as well as 14 air strikes, dropping 25 GABs. In addition, it carried out more than three thousand shellings, including 92 from multiple launch rocket systems and used 1,599 kamikaze drones to attack.
The aggressor carried out air strikes, in particular in the areas of Novoandriivka and Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia region.
Hostilities in the Kharkiv region
In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy stormed the positions of our defenders five times near Vovchansk, Lyptsi and Vysoka Yaruha.
In the Kupyansk sector, eight attacks took place over the last day. Defence forces repelled enemy assaults near Pishchane, Kolisnykivka, Lozova and Zahryzove.
The enemy attacked in the Lyman sector 28 times. They tried to break into our defences near Bohuslavka, Druzheliubivka, Kopanka, Zelenyi Hai, Zarichne, Terny, Yampolivka, Hrekivka, Nadiia and Makiivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the occupiers attacked three times in the areas of Stupochky, Chasiv Yar and Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out eight attacks near Toretsk, Dyliivka, Leonidivka and Shcherbynivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, our defenders stopped 53 aggressor's assault actions towards the settlements of Myroliubivka, Novotoretske, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, Zelene, Novyi Trud, Zhovte, Novotroitske and Chumatske.
Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 40 Russian attacks in the Kurakhove sector. The occupiers were most actively trying to advance in the areas of Sontsivka, Stari Terny, Maksymilianivka, Dachne, Kurakhove, Katerynivka, Yelyzavetivka, Hanivka, Antonivka and Uspenivka.
In the Vremivsk sector, the enemy made 19 assaults on our positions in the areas of Novosilka, Novodarivka, Sukhi Yaly and Blahodatne.
Situation in the south and north
In the Orikhivsk sector, occupation forces, supported by aviation, stormed the positions of the Defence Forces once near Nesterianka.
The Defence Forces are making efforts to prevent the enemy from advancing deep into Ukrainian territory, successfully repelling seven enemy offensives in the Prydniprovskyi sector.
The enemy did not conduct any active operations in the Huliaipole and Siverskyi sectors yesterday.
In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.
Strikes on the enemy
Our soldiers inflict significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces and actively undermine the enemy's offensive potential in the rear.
Over the past day, the missile troops and artillery of the Defence Forces hit one area of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment and two ground control stations for unmanned aerial vehicles.
In total, the Russian invaders suffered 1220 casualties over the past day: 540 irrecoverable and 680 sanitary losses. Ukrainian troops also neutralised 18 armoured combat vehicles, 3 artillery systems, 22 operational and tactical UAVs, 2 cruise missiles, 24 vehicles and 1 unit of occupiers' special equipment.
