Zelenskyy will call Biden soon: they will talk about invitation to NATO
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is planning to call Joe Biden to discuss the issue of inviting Ukraine to NATO.
He announced this on Telegram, Censor.NET reports.
"I'm going to call President Biden in the near future, if he has the opportunity to talk to me, and raise the issue of an invitation to NATO. Because he is now the current President of the United States, and a lot depends on his position. And there is no point in discussing with President Trump something that does not depend on him today, while he is not yet in the White House," the President said.
The head of state also thanked the United States and Biden for the recent aid package.
"It is very serious. A package of almost a billion dollars is a serious support. This is very important for us," Zelenskyy added.
