In the city of Samar in the Dnipropetrovsk region, police officers brutally detained a disabled soldier.
According to Censor.NET, the video was posted online.
The conflict occurred during a document check. The soldier asked the police officers to show their IDs.
According to the man, law enforcement officers threatened to use physical force against him. He replied that he had a disability.
"What kind of disability do you have? Head disability, right?" the policeman replied.
After an obscene response, law enforcement officers forcibly detained the man.
The unofficial Telegram channel of the 25th Separate Airborne Sicheslav Brigade stated that the victim was a soldier of the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade with the call sign Yamaha, who had a metal plate in his arm after being seriously wounded.
He told us the details of the conflict:
"Today I was arrested for demanding to see the documents of the police officers, as they themselves claim, I was detained for disorderly conduct (i.e. having a record of offences and being mocked by the police), there were no offences committed by my vehicle, which confirms the absence of a resolution and actual evidence, which is not the case with their car, the police officer first mocked that he did not understand what documents I was talking about and that he had a lot of them, when I repeatedly said that I was disabled, he told me that I had head disability (further in the video), without even knowing that I had suffered severe physical and mental disabilities during the war and had been undergoing treatment for over a year and a half. I want to get justice and show the people what I faced when I returned from the war! I ask for publicity, because I am determined to go to the end and be faithful to my oath to protect the people of Ukraine!"
The police in Dnipropetrovsk region reported that they were conducting an investigation into the actions of law enforcement officers.
"The management of the police department has initiated an internal investigation into this incident to establish the legality of the actions of the police at the scene. All the circumstances are being investigated. The information will be updated," they added.
