On 18 December, the Czech Senate recognized the mass deportation of Crimean Tatars as an act of genocide.
This was reported by the head of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE, Maria Mezentseva, Censor.NET reports.
"Recognise the deportation of Crimean Tatars from Crimea as an act of genocide! Unanimously!!! 76 - present; 70 - in favour," she said.
Mustafa Dzhemiliev spoke from the delegation.
Earlier, this decision was made in Estonia and Poland.
