A missile attack by Russian occupiers on Kyiv on the morning of December 20 resulted in one death and one injured.

"Today, at around 07:00 am, the Russian armed forces launched a combined missile attack on Kyiv. First, the enemy used 'Kinzhal' aeroballistic missiles from MiG-31K and Iskander/KN-23 ballistic missiles. A total of 8 missiles were fired. As a result of this strike, debris fell in 3 districts of the city," the statement said.
There is one killed and some injured people
"Seven people have already been injured as a result of the enemy attack. Two of them were hospitalised," said Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
Later it became known that four of the seven victims had already been hospitalised.
"9 injured as a result of an enemy attack on the capital. Four of them have been hospitalised," Klitschko said at 9:19 am.
As of 10:20 a.m., one person was killed and ten injured in Kyiv as a result of the morning attack, six of them hospitalised.
There are already 11 injured as a result of Russia's morning attack on the capital, Kyiv police said at 11:15 a.m.
"Among the wounded are men and women aged 19 to 58, most of whom were diagnosed with multiple shrapnel wounds and bruises. The deceased man was 53 years old," the statement said.
As of 13:00, one person was killed and twelve wounded in the rocket attack on the capital, five of them hospitalised.
"The victims have various injuries, such as shrapnel wounds, cut wounds, pneumothorax - penetrating chest wounds, when the lungs are damaged. Some are serious, some are minor, and the medics treated them on the spot. There is no threat to the lives of the people in the hospital," said Mykhailo Shamanov, KCMA spokesman, during the telethon.

"As a result of today's missile strike in Kyiv, the number of casualties has already increased. A man suffered a cut wound and bruises to his limbs. He was treated on the spot. Thus, the total number of people injured as a result of the missile strike is 13," the KCMA said.
The consequences are recorded in different districts of the capital
In Holosiivskyi district, an office building, road surface and a gas pipe were damaged with subsequent depressurisation; 5 cars caught fire. According to preliminary reports, one person died and another was injured. The information is being clarified.
At another address, the facade of an office building was damaged with a subsequent fire on the roof, and the fifteenth floor was destroyed (there are probably trapped people).
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine confirmed that a person was killed as a result of the Russian shelling.
Also, as a result of the rocket fall, seven residential buildings on 70 Antonovycha Street were cut off from gas supply, the Kyiv City State Administration said.
Relevant services are working to restore services.
"As a result of the hostile attack and damage to the heating line in Holosiivskyi district, 630 residential buildings, 16 medical institutions, 17 schools and 13 kindergartens are currently without heat. 'Kyivteploenergo' crews have already started working to eliminate the consequences of large-scale damage," said Klitschko.
Solomianskyi district
The falling debris caused a fire in a non-residential building. The fire was extinguished. No injuries were reported.
Shevchenkivskyi district
A fire broke out on the territory of a non-residential building. Information is being clarified.
According to "Kyivpastrans", the movement of trolleybuses No. 6, 16, 18, 19, 33, 35 and buses No. 50 is delayed.
"The delay is observed along U. Illienko Street in the direction of Lukianivska metro station. Traffic is currently blocked on the relevant section," the statement said.
Debris was also recorded falling in Dniprovskyi and Pecherskyi districts.
"In Dniprovskyi district, there were no negative consequences. In the Pecherskyi district, a fire probably started in a garage as a result of the falling debris. Information is being clarified," the statement said.
