On the night of 20 December, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with various types of missiles and attack drones.
This was reported by the Air Force, Censor.NET informs.
Thus, from 19:00 on 19 December, the occupiers attacked with an "Iskander-M" ballistic missile from the Rostov region, an Kh-59/69 guided aerial missile from the airspace of the Kursk region, and 65 Shahed-type attack UAVs and other types of drones from the districts of Bryansk, Millerovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
"As of 09.30 a.m., 40 'Shahed' attack UAVs and other types of drones were confirmed downed in Kursk, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. Due to the active counteraction of the Defence Forces, 20 enemy imitator drones were lost locally (without negative consequences)," the statement said.
As a result of the Russian shelling, private houses, apartment buildings, medical facilities, warehouses and farms in Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Kyiv and Kharkiv regions were damaged.

At around 7 a.m., the ruscists attacked Kyiv with 5 "Iskander-M"/KN-23 ballistic missiles. The missiles were launched from Voronezh and Bryansk regions.
Air defence forces shot down all 5 ballistic targets.
"Unfortunately, there are consequences on the ground after an insidious enemy attack. The fragments of the downed missiles caused damages and destructions in five districts of the capital, unfortunately, there are dead and wounded," they added.
