Defence Procurement Agency and Rheinmetall sign contract for supply of artillery ammunition
The Defence Procurement Agency has signed a contract with the German concern Rheinmetall for the supply of artillery ammunition.
The Agency announced this on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
Thus, under the contract signed in December 2024, the concern will supply 155 mm artillery shells.
"It is important for the Agency to expand direct contracting with the world's leading arms manufacturers for each critical item, as this increases the reliability of supplies. We are sincerely grateful to Rheinmetall for their contribution to the supply of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," said Maryna Bezrukova, Director of the Defence Procurement Agency.
Delivery of the contracted shells is scheduled for the first half of 2025. They can be used with most 155 mm artillery cannons in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
