Syrskyi wishes Ukrainians Merry Christmas: special greetings to soldiers who are now repelling attacks of Russian occupiers on front line
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi wished Ukrainians a Merry Christmas. He called for uniting on this day in prayer for victory and a just peace for Ukraine.
Syrskyi wrote about this on his Facebook page, Censor.NET reports.
The Commander-in-Chief sent special and warmest greetings to Ukrainian Christian soldiers who are not celebrating this Christmas with their families, but are now repelling the attacks of Russian invaders on the front line.
"Sincere respect and gratitude of the entire Ukrainian people for your feat and devotion to Ukraine. On Christmas Eve, I wish everyone a Merry Christmas, this holiday of hope and renewal. May the newborn Christ bestow upon each of us His love, peace and light that warms our hearts. Let His blessing inspire us to continue our just and sacrificial struggle because we are defending our own: our relatives and friends, our native land, our people from the wild Russian horde," said Syrskyi.
In addition, the Commander-in-Chief emphasized that at this time in history, we are restoring historical justice. We celebrate Christmas on December 25. Together with all the peoples of the free and democratic world.
"I would like to sincerely congratulate our allies and comrades in arms. I thank you for your support and ask you not to stop supporting Ukraine in the name of peace and tranquility throughout Europe. We believe that with God's help, the darkness will recede, and joy, goodness and blessings will reign in every Ukrainian home," the Commander-in-Chief said in his greeting.
In his Christmas greeting, Syrskyi also called for uniting on this day in prayer for Ukraine, for its defenders, for victory, a just peace and a blessed future for our homeland and our people.
"Christmas calls us to a special meeting - a meeting with God, who comes as the Savior of the world to bring heavenly joy and hope. May the Nativity of Christ multiply in our hearts the hope and confidence that we will win! Christ is born! Let us glorify Him!" added the head of the Armed Forces.
